Bio
Kate Zelkowitz is a senior at Suffolk University pursuing a B.S in Media and Film as a member of the College of Arts & Sciences Honors program. Previously, she studied at MCLA, where she served as the Vice President & Copy Editor for The Beacon, the Executive Producer of BWN, and hosted the weekly radio show "The Magpie" on WJJW, MCLA's college radio station. She is the Executive Producer and Exhibition Coordinator for Verse/Visual, an annual exhibition combining poetry and prose with visual and performing art. She is also a dance teacher and choreographer, with over ten years of dance training in jazz, modern, and ballet. When not out on assignment or in her "editing cave," Kate loves spending time with her two cats and watching baseball. She is also a former specialty espresso barista and makes a mean cup of coffee.
Extended Bio
Kate Zelkowitz is a born-and-raised New Englander, hailing from a small town 45 minutes north of Boston. She graduated from Ipswich High School in May of 2020, before attaining an associates degree in liberal arts from North Shore Community College in the spring of 2022.
Following her time at NSCC, she spent a year at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA), during which she served as the Vice President & Copy Editor for The Beacon, the Executive Producer of BWN, and hosted the weekly radio show "The Magpie" on WJJW, MCLA's college radio station, as well as working for MCLA Athletic's Livecast Production Team.

As of Fall 2025, Kate is senior at Suffolk University, pursuing a B.S. in Media and Film as a member of the College of Arts & Sciences Honors program. She is expected to graduate in Dec. 2026.
